Howzit! What a feeling to be back in New Orleans where I have never made the cut in my previous 2 starts.... boy does it feel "Lekker" to have made the cut today. I played really solid in round 1 and really struck the ball well and did not make a putt on the greens. Today, I played solid for 12 holes and then made a bogey on the 3rd which was the 12th for me. With the scoreboards in our faces, Jo and I knew that I had to play hard the last few holes. Sjoe, I sure did. It felt great for a change to roll in a couple slippery downhill 6 to 10 foot putts. Which I have not been doing lately. I did lip out on the 9th and the 8th which could have made the round even better. Lets hope the ballstriking stays and the putts fall on the weekend. Keep them Peeled!
Go Sharks against the Bulls today! You can be assured that after the round Jo (a big Bulls supporter) and I (now a Sharks supporter after moving from the Bulls stamping ground) will be glued to the Internet watching the game on Media Zone. That is gonna be my motivation around the course today. Get it done in the least amount of shots possible so that I can get back to watch the game.
P.S. Good to see the People of this city pulling together to give us a tournament to play in. Go "Nawlins"!! The course is in fantastic shape considering all the devastation that I am still seeing all around and the fact that they have had a drought here the last 2 months. Unbelievable!
