26 July 2010 - I thought I'd write a quick blog as it's way overdue... I've actually been 'inside the ropes' for the last two tournaments and have experienced a very steep learning curve as I've been 'on the bag' for Tjaart. We decided to give it a go for a few events and so far so good, it's a whole different world being 'in there' and experiencing the round so close up. I'm really enjoying it and apart from the mental challenge of each round I definitely enjoy the physical challenge especially in the hot USA summer. I've learnt a lot in a short time and hope to carry on learning more and more, part of my job is also to keep Tjaart relaxed and focussed at the same time and of course well fueled out there which is a critical part of any sport when you are performing at a top level. We've had two out of two cuts and the plan is to keep that momentum going. He's playing some quality golf and I just know those results we all want for him are around the corner.
We're staying with our good friends Dave and Nancy Brown this week which is just divine! They are just fabulous and we look forward to some good suppers together and some good wine too! Our friend and fellow golfer Phil Tataurangi is staying with us too, so I've no doubt we'll have some fun whilst working.
