This week, Tjaart heads to Memphis, Tennessee for the Fedex St Jude Classic to be held at the TPC at Southwind. In his previous two visits to the TPC at Southwind, Tjaart has made the Cut on one occasion and missed it on another.
After a week off Tour and having spent time with his short game coach, Stan Utley, in Scottsdale, Arizona over the weekend, Tjaart will be hoping for a good result this week. He is certainly feeling a lot more confident after having shot a solid 69, last Tuesday, to make it through the Local Qualifier of the US Open. He will now play the Sectional Qualifier in Houston at the Lakeside Golf Course on 5 June 2006.
Another added incentive for Tjaart to play well this week is the friends and family he will have out to support him. Tjaart's father, JP, is visiting from South Africa and will be there to offer support as will Dave Brown from Omaha. Willy Douglas will be on hand to offer backup support and represent the "manne" from Houston!
