Tjaart's three week swing in Asia provided a mixed bag of results. It was very disappointing to say the least as to what happened in Jakarta at The Indonesian Masters. 'Lost in translation' is a slight understatement when it comes to trying to explain what happened with Tjaart's missed tee-time for the 4th round. It was gut-wrenching, especially after working hard to make the cut. But there was no time for Tjaart to dwell on it and he had to look ahead and re-focus as quickly as possible on The Ballantines Championship in South Korea.
Blackstone Course in Seoul was not for the faint hearted - this reflected in the scoring. The weather came into play on the first day and the cut was +4 which allowed for Tjaart to sneak in on the number. The weekend proved to be a bit of a grind and Tjaart didn't finish as strong as he'd hoped but was pretty happy to be playing over the weekend at least.
Tjaart and Vicki have clocked up some air miles over the past week and are now in the USA. Tjaart is going to play the qualifying event for the PGA Tour Byron Nelson Championship, however, due to new rulings if a player is not a member of the PGA or Nationwide Tour one has to play a pre-qualifier for the qualifying event! The pre-qualifier is this Thursday, May 10th in Dallas and Tjaart will be tee-ing it up at 12.30pm at The Lakes at Castle Hills course. There are 23 spots up for grabs for the official qualifying tournament which is on Monday 14th May.
